Which projects are monitored?

InvestmentFlow tracks domestic investments taking place in the UK and Canada. This includes companies that are either setting up a new project in addition to their current location or expanding an existing operation. The project must have physical expansion or job creation.

What is classified as a Lead?

A Lead signifies that a company is likely to establish a new physical presence or expand an existing site. These are early indicators of domestic projects. InvestmentFlow currently tracks if a company has a new investment plan or strategy for that country or is considering a new investment project or an expansion at one of its existing subsidiaries.

What information is captured?

Key information is collected including the company, the project sector and activity, job creation and/or capital investment being made by the company, and the location of the investment at country, state and city level.

What historical data does InvestmentFlow have available?

There are projects dating back to 2017 for the UK and 2018 for Canada.

Where do we get our information from?

Our team of analysts screen over 20,000 corporate, media and EDO sources on a daily basis to identify relevant projects.

How are the industries coded?

We use NAICS as well as our in-house industry classifications which are made up of a simplified amalgamation of international industry standards including NAICS, SIC, NACE codes.
